UFO Derby

The galaxy's greatest UFO race
Speed alone will not win this racing game of wagers and tactical decisions. Players are Galaxy Gamblers working behind the scenes of the race, using financial backing and information manipulation to earn as much G (Galaxy) as possible.
What kind of game is it?
Five UFOs—pink, blue, green, gold, and silver—compete for position. Before each race, players place one to three betting cards face down, then advance UFOs by revealing cards of the matching colors from their hands.
When UFOs overlap, the one on top ranks higher. The key is deciding which UFOs to bet on and which cards to reveal to influence the race.
How the game flows
The game consists of three races. Each race proceeds by repeating the following three phases.
- Planning phase:Everyone declares a number from one to three and places that many non-colorless cards face down as betting cards.
- Strategy phase:Each player who still has cards places one card face down, then everyone reveals their card simultaneously.
- Race phase:Cards of the same color are resolved, and the corresponding UFO advances by the number on the remaining card.
A race ends when any UFO reaches finish space 18 or when every player has run out of cards. Players gain or lose G based on the UFO standings and their betting cards. The player with the most G after three races wins.
